Globethics Latin America Centre (Buenos Aires) collaborates with other Latin American and Caribbean higher education institutions to identify local initiatives regarding ethics and applied ethics to embed ethics in higher education in the South American region. Together they developed regional conferences, workshops and events to empower university authorities, teachers, and staff in higher education and students through training.
To ensure Globethics' adaptability to the region's needs, Globethics Latin America Centre produces and translates publications and multimedia materials in Spanish and Portuguese to develop e-learning within the region.
In April 2014, Globethics launched its programme in Latin America. Currently, Maria Eugenia Barroso is the Regional Manager for Globethics Latin America and the Caribbean. Eugenia was joined by Verónica Estrade in 2021 as Regional Centre Assistant to expand the network in the region. Verónica also supports the Globethics Communications team based at the Head Office in Geneva.
