Globethics Academy will introduce consecutively four World Classes on topical areas aligned with the organisational thematic priority objectives 2023-2027:
- Economic, Social and Ecological Ethics;
- Ethics of Digital and Emerging Technologies;
- Teaching Ethics Cross-Culturally;
- Inclusive Peace and Responsible Governance
The Unique Value Proposition of Globethics World Classes
A World Class allows executive participants to acquire a professionally relevant qualification in one of the leading and future-oriented areas within a shortest time-span. A World Class is delivered as a three days intensive live programme with nine content units and four corresponding application units (clinics), which will allow the participants to elaborate a self-guided study on a topic of their choice, based on the methods and case studies analysed during the live sessions. The course is supported by a fully-fledged online course pathway, designed to facilitate an engagement with quality resources and up-to-date study material.
Schedule
The final schedule of the live sessions will be communicated via the course webpage. Course participants are encouraged to request professional development leave for the duration of the World Class from their employers.
All live sessions will be recorded and made available to registered participants on the course platform. To obtain the certificate participants need to attend a minimum of 3 live sessions distributed over the three days. Course work related to the clinics can also be accomplished outside of the proposed schedule, provided that all work is completed submitted on the third day.
The World Class participants will be offered time to elaborate a self-guided study on a topic of their choice in relation to themes studied in the 9 live programme units, similar to a short Capstone Project. The course instructor will provide appropriate guidance and supervision. The objective is to conduct the self-guided project throughout the three course days with a completion on the third day.
Workload
The World Classes have an estimated total workload of 12 hours (online contact hours and self-guided study work, excluding additional time for facultative networking):
- 7 hours and 15 minutes for the live sessions (45 minutes per live session; 9 live sessions in total);
- 4 hours for the clinics (1 hour per clinic; 4 clinics in total);
- 45 minutes in total for preparatory work, course platform introduction and evaluation survey;
- 45 minutes for networking (facultative).
The World Classes are designed for executives with a prior learning experience at least at the level of a Bachelor degree. Classes conducted in English require upper intermediate proficiency in English to follow the live sessions and to read the course material. Future World Classes are planned to be offered in additional languages.
Participation in the World Classes requires prior registration and payment of the tuition fees.
The fee includes the full live programme, quality study material, free access to the Globethics specialised online library, expert accompaniment, free access to the World Class course material on the Globethics Academy online platform (Moodle) and the Executive World Class Certificate.
